I used Eagle Light to design this PCB layout of a uC kit customized to be used in our Microprocessors and Micro controllers Lab.
I have kept it single layered to reduce the cost. Going to prototype it tomorrow to see how it works.
The board has ATMEL – 89C51, an ADC0804 chip, a 555 timer and a motor driver – L293d. It also has connections made for LCD 16X2 on P0 port.
Inspite of adding these peripherals, I have made sure that all the ports of uC are available at all times when the said peripherals are not in use. The Db9 port and MAX232 ic for programming the uC are provided on board.
